BMW is gearing up to launch a significantly updated #M5Facelift with production slated to begin in March 2027. The refreshed design adopts BMW’s futuristic #NeueKlasse styling, with a slimmer, unified kidney grille and integrated headlights for a sleeker frontal appearance. Rear updates are expected to include new #LEDtaillights and subtle bumper revisions. The interior will debut BMW’s #PanoramicIDrive setup powered by Operating System X, replacing rotary controllers with a wide, pillar‑to‑pillar digital display.
Under the hood, the established #HybridV8 plug‑in drivetrain remains, likely boosting output slightly from the current ~717 hp figure, while an exclusive #CompetitionSport (CS) variant may enter the lineup for heightened performance and reduced weight. Expected to run through early 2031, the G90 sedan and G99 Touring models will benefit from these enhancements. The facelift keeps the core M xDrive AWD and 0‑100 km/h performance in the low 3‑second range intact. With these updates, the BMW M5 aims to stay relevant and competitive in the performance luxury sedan segment.
