Abu Dhabi Airports Sees 13% Passenger Surge to 15.8M in H1 2025

Abu Dhabi Airports has posted strong growth in H1 2025, handling 15.8 million passengers, a 13.1% increase from the previous year. Zayed International Airport (AUH) was the major hub, processing 15.5 million travelers—a 13.2% rise—and managing approximately 94,000 flights, up 11.4%, highlighting robust demand .

This surge, exceeding 17 consecutive quarters of double-digit growth, came amid regional disruptions, including a 12-day conflict that temporarily affected airspace access . The airport network also introduced 16 new destinations, including routes to Shanghai, Madurai, and Bhubaneswar, and welcomed new airline partners, reflecting the expanding global connectivity strategy .
