Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC), says Operation Sindoor has shown the benefit of strong joint action by India’s Army, Air Force and Navy. He said this during a defence meeting about the future of Integrated Theatre Commands and modern war plans.
Dixit said the operation was a clear example of better tri-services coordination. The three forces worked together using shared data and fast communication systems. This boosted decision speed and operational impact, he added.
He explained that Integrated Theatre Commands will make planning and execution even faster and more effective in future conflicts. In these new commands, the Army, Navy and Air Force will operate under unified leadership for specific geographic areas or mission types.
Dixit also noted the need for modern tools like network-centric warfare systems, fast command links and real-time data sharing. These help forces act quickly and smartly on the battlefield.
Experts say this move aligns with India’s focus on tri-services integration and joint readiness. They see Operation Sindoor as a model for future defence planning and stronger national security.
