The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a final extension for the layout regularisation scheme (LRS) under newly amended rules (G.O.Ms.No.134), allowing eligible plot owners to regularise their unapproved layouts and subdivisions up to June 30, 2025 . This revision applies to plots with registered sale deeds executed before the cutoff date, extending eligibility beyond the previous deadline of August 31, 2019.
Under the Land Regularisation Scheme 2025, eligible applicants—including individuals, developers, or colony associations—must submit applications online, accompanied by site plans, deed documentation, and relevant clearances . Once the in‑principle layout pattern is approved, urban local bodies (ULBs) or town‑planning authorities will process regularisation by collecting prescribed fees and charges.
The extension aims to bring tens of thousands of unauthorised layouts into the formal planning framework, curb illegal construction, and address significant loss of revenue and regulatory control across state jurisdictions . Owners who fail to apply before the deadline will lose eligibility for regularisation, risking denial of building permissions, civic services, and future registration rights under the scheme.
