Axis Max Life Insurance Ltd, formerly Max Life Insurance, has unveiled its latest offering: the BSE 500 Value 50 Index Fund, aimed at long‑term capital appreciation by investing in India’s top 50 value stocks from the BSE 500 universe. This factor‑based index fund will be available exclusively through Axis Max Life ULIPs—STAR ULIP, Flexi Wealth Advantage Plan (FWAP), and Online Savings Plan (OSP)—during its NFO window from July 28 to August 10, 2025.
The fund employs a value investing strategy, selecting stocks using three key financial ratios: Book-to‑Price, Earnings‑to‑Price, and Sales‑to‑Price, allowing a diversified exposure to fundamentally strong, undervalued companies across sectors. To manage concentration risk, stock weight is capped at 5% and sector exposure at 25%.
Sachin Bajaj, EVP & CIO of Axis Max Life, highlighted that the fund’s passive structure and value factor approach seek to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns over time, complemented by the built-in life insurance cover inherent in ULIP plans. The fund is accessible with a minimum entry amount of Rs 100 (plus multiples of Re 1) and aims to appeal to long-term, value-oriented investors.
If you’re looking to align your portfolio with a curated basket of undervalued companies and benefit from insurance protection via ULIPs, this fund offers a timely opportunity during its limited subscription period.
