Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has urged All India Services (AIS) officers to work with honesty and take bold decisions for the public good. Speaking at a ceremony for 203 officers finishing their training at the Dr. MCR Human Resource Development Institute, he said good governance starts with integrity and courage.
Bhatti told officers to see themselves as servants of the people first, not just holders of power. He said real recognition comes when citizens remember officers for fairness and service. He asked them to stay humble and connected with people at the grassroots. Meeting citizens with respect and listening to their needs, he added, is the heart of good public work.
The Deputy CM warned that careless decisions can hurt citizens and weaken trust. Officers will face challenges like frequent transfers, complex issues, and public scrutiny. He said they must be alert, learn new skills, and adapt to change. Bhatti stressed empathy and human connection as key qualities for civil servants. He said building trust and serving with commitment will help officers make a strong and positive impact on society.
