The horror-comedy franchise Bhoot Police is getting a sequel. Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan will direct Bhoot Police 2 and is said to charge a fee of ₹21 crore for the project. This new film will stay in the horror-comedy genre that fans enjoyed in the first movie.
Unlike the original, the sequel will not feature Saif Ali Khan or Arjun Kapoor. Reportedly, both stars are missing from the cast, and the makers plan to bring in a fresh set of actors instead. The idea is to introduce a new pairing to refresh the series and bring fresh energy to the storyline.
The sequel will continue the mix of humor and spooky moments, which made the first film memorable. The production team is now working on casting decisions before shooting can begin later in the year. Pre-production work is also underway.
