Eenadu Group Donates ₹10 Crore for Amaravati: MD Kiran Urges Public Support

In a significant boost to Amaravati’s development, the Eenadu Group has pledged a ₹10 crore donation to support the capital city construction initiative in Andhra Pradesh. The announcement was made by Managing Director Ch. Kiran during a memorial event honoring media baron Ramoji Rao. Speaking on the occasion, Kiran highlighted Ramoji Rao’s long-standing vision for a well-planned, world-class capital city and called upon the people of Andhra Pradesh to contribute voluntarily.

This gesture comes at a time when public sentiment toward Amaravati is reviving, with citizens from all walks of life—including women, students, and senior citizens—offering donations, ranging from small contributions to land sales dedicated to the cause. Kiran emphasized that such people-driven development models can bring speed and accountability to the capital’s construction process.

The ₹10 crore contribution has added momentum to the ongoing fundraising campaign, encouraging corporate bodies and institutions to step forward. With increased public participation, Amaravati is being repositioned as a symbol of democratic urban planning, fueled by collective commitment rather than political compulsion. This marks a turning point in Andhra Pradesh’s aspirations to build a sustainable and inclusive capital through crowd-funded development.
