The Telangana government is preparing a new mobile app aimed at reducing long waits for farmers (ryots) at agricultural service centres. The app will allow users to book service slots, save precious time, and avoid long queues at offices. Officials say the idea is to make farmer services faster and more efficient with digital help.
Many rural residents have faced long waiting hours for urea supply, crop support payments, and queue management at mandal offices. Using the mobile app, farmers will be able to check available time slots and reserve a place in line before visiting the office. This could save hours of waiting in direct sunlight or crowded halls.
The government hopes the mobile solution will cut physical crowding and make agricultural support services more user-friendly. It aligns with broader digital goals like MeeSeva and T App Folio that already offer many citizen services online.
This initiative is expected to strengthen rural technology adoption and bring convenience to farmers. Officials are finalising features that will help farmers check service availability, book appointments, and get real-time updates on queue status. The app could roll out soon across Telangana’s districts.
