India to Launch Integrated Digital Platform for Investor Grievance Redressal

Posted by

India is set to introduce an integrated digital platform, led by the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), to fast‑track investor grievance resolution. The platform will link Aadhaar, PAN, and Demat data, significantly reducing physical verification and shortening claim processing timelines. Weekly Investor Grievance Camps under IEPFA, alongside coordination with SEBI’s SCORES portal, will ensure more accessible and structured complaint handling.

Anita Shah Akella, IEPFA CEO and joint secretary at the corporate affairs ministry, highlighted that this digital overhaul aims to enhance grievance transparency, efficiency, and investor trust. The project includes collaboration with SEBI’s established redressal mechanisms to centralize investor complaints. By minimizing manual processes and leveraging biometric and financial ID systems, the platform is expected to improve resolution rates, making it easier for investors to lodge, track, and resolve grievances. This initiative marks a major step in India’s efforts to strengthen investor protection infrastructure and foster a more accountable and responsive capital market ecosystem.
