The highly anticipated Telugu film Jai Hanuman is set for a grand launch event in the historic city of Hampi on February 22, 2026. The mythological epic will be formally inaugurated with a large ceremony before production begins.
Directed by Prasanth Varma, Jai Hanuman is the sequel to the hit 2024 mythological superhero movie HanuMan. The film stars Rishab Shetty, known for his work in Kantara, in the lead role as Lord Hanuman. Production sources say the script and pre-production work are already complete, and principal photography is expected to start in April 2026.
The launch in Hampi, a symbol of India’s cultural heritage, reflects the film’s deep mythological roots and high ambitions within the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). Jai Hanuman also features Rana Daggubati and may include HanuMan star Teja Sajja in a special appearance, further linking the new story with the earlier film.
