In a major push for economic growth, the Andhra Pradesh cabinet approved six new industrial and investment policies in October 2024. These policies are designed to attract large-scale investments, generate employment, and strengthen the state’s industrial infrastructure across key sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and technology.
Further bolstering its industrial roadmap, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in January 2025, laid the foundation stone for two major infrastructure projects: the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area and a bulk drug park. Both projects fall under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, aimed at transforming Andhra Pradesh into a manufacturing and logistics hub with strong national and international connectivity.
These developments are aligned with the state’s ambitious “Swarna Andhra @2047” vision, which seeks to elevate Andhra Pradesh into a ₹308 lakh crore ($2.4 trillion) economy by the year 2047. The strategic plan includes significant investments in industrial corridors, logistics parks, digital infrastructure, and green technology to make the state a leader in sustainable and inclusive growth.
The combined efforts of policy reform, infrastructure development, and long-term planning position Andhra Pradesh as one of India’s fastest-growing industrial economies.
