In a landmark move to boost breast cancer early detection in rural Andhra Pradesh, philanthropist Sudha Reddy, alongside Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata Chuangsri and Miss Asia 2025 Krishnah Gravidez, inaugurated a free Breast Cancer Screening Centre in Dokiparru village, Krishna district. This joint initiative by the Sudha Reddy Foundation and the MEIL Foundation aims to address one of the most pressing health challenges facing women in India by bringing accessible screening directly to rural areas.
At the inauguration, Sudha Reddy emphasized that “early detection is the strongest weapon against breast cancer,” highlighting the mission’s core objective—to ensure no woman is left behind due to her location. Sharing a personal journey, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, a breast cancer survivor and global advocate, assured women everywhere that they are never alone and that community support, knowledge, and screening save lives.
Miss Asia 2025, Krishnah Gravidez, underscored the principle that healthcare should not be a privilege of cities, calling the centre a testament to “true beauty” rooted in compassion and purpose. The event also saw the launch of Pink Power Run 2.0, Hyderabad’s flagship breast cancer awareness run scheduled for September, aimed at mobilizing communities and reinforcing the importance of women’s health and early detection.
This powerful alliance of global icons, local leadership, and grassroots support marks a transformative step in advancing women’s health equity in rural India.
