Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani recently shared his movie watching plans in an interview. He said he would go to the cinema theatres to watch Ikkis, a new Bollywood war drama starring Agastya Nanda. On the other hand, he said he will wait for Dhurandhar to come on television before watching it.
Advani has not yet seen the Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller Dhurandhar, though he heard the film is doing well at the box office and many people are enjoying it. He added that he respects director Aditya Dhar and thinks he is a strong filmmaker with a clear voice.
The director was speaking while promoting his upcoming historical series, Freedom at Midnight 2. The series will stream soon on a major OTT platform. His project focuses on the Partition of India and features several actors in key roles.
Advani’s comments reflect his viewing preference between two major Bollywood releases. His choice to watch Ikkis in theatres highlights its appeal to cinema audiences, while his plan to watch Dhurandhar on TV shows a more relaxed viewing strategy.
