OnePlus has confirmed it will launch OxygenOS 16 (based on Android 16) in India on October 16, 2025. The company is already teasing new multitasking and connectivity features that promise smoother performance and smarter integration across devices.
A key highlight is “zero‑lag” multitasking. OnePlus says you’ll be able to scroll for hours or switch between gaming and phone calls without slowdown. Users can run up to five apps in multi‑window or floating window modes. Resizing windows will be easy by dragging corners.
On the connectivity side, OxygenOS 16 will let you drag and drop files between your phone and PC, mirror your screen on macOS or Windows, and sync with iPhone, Apple Watch, and other OnePlus devices. Also, the UI will be refreshed — expect new home screen layouts, a redesigned app tray, circular icons, and revamped widgets.
OxygenOS 16 will also integrate OnePlus AI features and support Google’s Gemini models, enabling more contextual, intelligent interactions. Features like Mind Space may help organize user content and assist with planning.
Overall, the update aims for a faster, more fluid experience with smart enhancements that bridge multiple devices.
