On October 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects worth ₹13,430 crore. His visit starts in Srisailam, where he will offer prayers at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna temple — a rare shrine combining Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peeth. He will also visit the Shivaji memorial complex there.
Later, in Kurnool, he will address a public meeting and launch multiple infrastructure initiatives. In power, Modi will begin a 765 kV transmission project at Kurnool‑III Pooling Station (₹2,880+ crore) to boost renewable energy flow. For industry, he will lay foundation stones for the Orvakal and Kopparthy Industrial Areas (₹4,920 crore combined), expected to attract more investments and create jobs.
In road infrastructure, works include a new six‑lane highway from Sabbavaram to Sheelanagar (₹960 crore) and six additional major road projects (₹1,140 crore). Rail projects worth over ₹1,200 crore — including a new line, flyovers, and track doubling — will also be dedicated. In energy, the Srikakulam–Angul gas pipeline (₹1,730 crore) and an LPG bottling plant (₹200 crore) will be inaugurated. A defence manufacturing unit (night vision factory at Krishna) costing ₹360 crore is also on the list.
This mega package covers key sectors: energy, transport, industry, railways, roads, and defence. The government aims to strengthen Andhra’s infrastructure and drive growth across all regions.
