Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently revealed how she is raising her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas with strong ties to Indian culture even while living primarily in the United States. Priyanka shared that Malti travels with her to India often. The little girl has visited cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi, and even joined Priyanka on a trip to Ayodhya. These visits help Malti see and experience Indian culture first-hand.
A heartwarming moment Priyanka revealed was how Malti reacts to Indian clothes. The toddler loves wearing a ghagra-choli, bindi and bangles, and calls herself an “Indian princess” when dressed in traditional attire. According to Priyanka, this joy helps keep her connected to her heritage in a natural, joyful way.
Priyanka also makes sure Malti knows Indian customs by celebrating festivals and introducing her to Indian music and food. Her efforts reflect a blend of global upbringing and deep cultural roots that Priyanka values for her daughter.
