Rolls‑Royce has expanded its partnership with Indian firm Bharat Forge to make and supply fan blades for its Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines. The contract was signed at Rolls‑Royce’s Dahlewitz facility in Germany. This move builds on their earlier collaboration and brings more engine manufacturing work into India.
Under this deal, Bharat Forge will manufacture precision fan blades — a critical component in aircraft engines. The company has already produced parts for the Pearl 700 program since 2020 and delivered its first zero‑defect fan blade in 2024. Now, it will take on the advanced Pearl 10X as well.
The Pearl engine family powers high‑end business jets. The Pearl 10X is one of the most powerful in the series, delivering over 18,000 pounds of thrust using Rolls‑Royce’s Advance2 core and a high‑performance low‑pressure system.
This agreement supports Make in India and aligns with Rolls‑Royce’s plan to double its sourcing from India by 2030. It also strengthens India’s aerospace manufacturing base and showcases capability in high‑precision components. For Bharat Forge, the deal enhances its role in the global supply chain; for Rolls‑Royce, it deepens local partnerships and supply resilience.
