Skoda has officially brought back its high-performance Octavia RS to the Indian market, pricing it at ₹49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The relaunch generated massive buzz, and all 100 units imported into the country were sold out within minutes, showing the car’s enduring popularity among enthusiasts.

The Skoda Octavia RS is renowned for blending sporty performance with everyday practicality. It features a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, delivering sharp acceleration, responsive handling, and a premium driving experience. The car also boasts a distinctive design with aggressive styling elements, larger alloy wheels, and RS-specific badging that sets it apart from the standard Octavia.

This limited-edition re-entry was done through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route, which contributed to the higher pricing. Despite this, the car found eager takers, reflecting a niche but loyal customer base for performance sedans in India.

Skoda’s successful relaunch of the Octavia RS could signal the brand’s intent to test the waters for more performance models in the future, tapping into India’s growing community of car enthusiasts.
