In a dazzling display of devotion, the Surya Prabha Vahana Seva lit up Tirumala during the ongoing Srivari Brahmotsavam, drawing throngs of devotees along the four mada streets. On this sacred procession day, Lord Malayappa Swamy was paraded on the radiant Sun‑halo chariot (Surya Prabha Vahanam), symbolically guided by the Sun God as charioteer. The procession moved to the rhythmic chants of Govinda namas, creating an atmosphere of deep spiritual fervour.

Pilgrims believe that witnessing the Lord on Surya Prabha Vahana bestows health, longevity, and relief from disease. Enthusiastic devotees lined both sides of the streets from dawn, eager for darshan and blessings. Temple authorities and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) had made elaborate arrangements for crowd management, lighting, and smooth procession flow.

The Surya Prabha Seva forms part of the multi‑vahana cycle of processions during Brahmotsavam, each vahana carrying mythological significance. Its morning sequence often begins with the first rays of the sun touching the deity’s feet. The grandeur of the event, combined with the mass of devotees, underscores Tirumala’s significance as a major pilgrimage centre. As the festival continues, further vahanas are expected to maintain the momentum of devotion and spectacle.
