Four middle-school girls from Bengaluru have created “Ambulink,” an emergency-response app that could transform ambulance services in India. The team — students of The International School Bangalore — built the app to connect people in need with the nearest available ambulance. The app offers live tracking, gives AI-based first-aid advice, and suggests suitable hospitals based on the patient’s condition.
In a major recognition, their prototype won the Global Grand Prize (Junior Division) at Technovation Girls 2025, an international competition where 33,000 girls from 117 countries submitted over 3,200 projects. Their project stood out as the only Asian finalist and emerged top globally.
Currently, Ambulink is at the prototype stage, but its design promises to reduce ambulance wait times significantly — potentially cutting average wait from 25–40 minutes to just 10–15 minutes. The app uses mapping and real-time tracking to dispatch the nearest ambulance quickly. Its smart hospital-matching and first-aid features add extra value, especially in emergencies. The creators hope to pilot Ambulink soon in Bengaluru by collaborating with emergency services and hospitals. If successful, the app could help save lives by bringing faster medical help to those in need.
