Telangana’s WhatsApp MeeSeva service has quickly become a popular way for citizens to get government services online. Since its launch in November 2025, more than 3.25 lakh people have used the WhatsApp platform to access services without visiting MeeSeva centres.
The service offers 581 digital government services from more than 10 state departments. Users can send a message to the dedicated WhatsApp number, apply for certificates like caste and income certificates, track their application status, and download approved documents. This helps many people avoid long queues and save time.
The system works 24/7, so people can use it any time on their mobile phones. It reduces the need for physical visits to government offices and improves access for people who may not be familiar with online portals.
Officials say the service supports digital governance and bridges the gap between citizens and government services. With high user adoption in just a few months, WhatsApp MeeSeva is seen as a major step in bringing government services closer to people through simple mobile technology.
