Several parts of Telangana experienced moderate to heavy rainfall on Tuesday, providing relief from the scorching temperatures that have persisted over the past few weeks. While the downpour was significant in many interior districts, the state capital Hyderabad only received light drizzle, offering temporary relief from the heat.
Districts in northern and eastern Telangana reported consistent showers throughout the day, which helped cool down the region and improve humidity levels. These unseasonal rains have brought comfort to residents who have been dealing with persistent heat and dry conditions, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
In contrast, Hyderabad, despite being cloud-covered for most of the day, witnessed minimal rainfall. The light drizzle lasted for a short duration and wasn’t enough to significantly impact temperatures or traffic movement in the city.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted possible isolated showers in the coming days, especially in north Telangana. The recent weather activity is being attributed to a cyclonic circulation over central India, which has brought moisture-laden winds into the region.
Citizens are advised to stay updated on local weather alerts as more intermittent rain is expected across Telangana.
