TeTesla has officially launched India’s first Supercharger station, opening at the Bandra‑Kurla Complex (One BKC) in Mumbai. The charging facility features four V4 Supercharging stalls delivering up to 250 kW DC fast charging at ₹24/kWh and four Destination AC chargers offering 11 kW at ₹14/kWh. Positioned strategically in the financial district, this marks a pivotal step in building India’s premium EV charging infrastructure.
Tesla users can monitor availability, track charging progress, and pay via the Tesla app, ensuring a seamless electric vehicle charging experience. This rollout follows Tesla’s debut of the Model Y in India on July 15, unveiled at its first Experience Centre in Mumbai. Initially priced at ₹59.89 lakh for the standard rear-wheel-drive variant and ₹67.89 lakh for the long-range version, deliveries are expected to begin in the third and fourth quarters of 2025.
Tesla vehicles will be imported as completely built units (CBUs) from Shanghai.TeTesla has announced plans to open three additional Supercharger locations in Mumbai—specifically in Lower Parel, Thane, and Navi Mumbai—by September 2025 to support the growing EV market. These efforts signify Tesla’s expanding electric vehicle ecosystem and commitment to addressing India’s range anxiety concerns.
