On the second day of Tirumala’s annual Brahmotsavams, Lord Malayappa Swamy captivated devotees by appearing as Lord Krishna while riding the golden Chinna Sesha Vahanam. The five‑hooded serpent Vahanam, representing Vasuki, was the morning vehicle for this majestic procession. Decorated with elaborate jewellery and large flower garlands, the deity took a grand tour along the four Mada streets around the Tirumala shrine, drawing thousands of devotees who lined up to catch a divine glimpse.

The Chinna Sesha Vahanam holds deep religious symbolism — devotees believe seeing the Lord on this vahana helps evoke spiritual energy and connects with the concept of Kundalini. The festival rituals encompass both artistic splendour and strict adherence to religious tradition. In the evening, Lord Malayappa Swamy will be taken in another procession on the Hamsa Vahanam, reinforcing the multi‑vahana tradition of the Brahmotsavams.

Organised by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the event included ceremonial releases, ritual bathings (Snapana Thirumanjanam), devotional music, and intense preparations to ensure sanctity and public participation. The spectacle underscores the enduring devotion that Brahmotsavams inspires, melding mythological avatars, vahanam processions, devotional fervour, and cultural pageantry in one of South India’s most cherished temple festivals.
