The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has confirmed that the Vaikunta Dwara darshan at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala will extend over ten days, allowing a greater number of devotees to pass through the sacred gateway. The move supports smoother crowd management and improved access during the annual Vaikunta Ekadasi festival.
Under the new system, TTD will issue time-slot tokens and arrange dedicated counters in Tirupati and Tirumala to regulate the flow. The emphasis is clearly on ordinary pilgrims — VIP and privilege darshans will be suspended during these ten days so that more devotees can participate without disadvantage.
Alongside the extended darshan window, TTD is putting in place enhanced facilities: weather-proof queue lines, drinking water stations, better toilet access, and extra staff to guide devotees. Devotees are advised to arrive according to their allotted time slot, carry Aadhaar for token issuance, and avoid arriving en masse on the very first days to ensure a peaceful pilgrimage.
This ten-day schedule underlines TTD’s commitment to providing a dignified, accessible and safe darshan experience to the broad community of pilgrims and reduces stress on temple infrastructure during peak festival period.
