Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has officially unveiled the Green Hydrogen Valley–Amaravati Declaration, setting Andhra Pradesh on a mission to become India’s largest green hydrogen hub by 2030. This strategic declaration follows a two-day Green Hydrogen Summit in Amaravati, attended by industry leaders, experts, and policymakers. It outlines a comprehensive roadmap covering green hydrogen production, storage, distribution, and its applications across industry, transport, and power generation.
As part of the initiative, the state plans to build supporting infrastructure, pilot testing facilities, and foster partnerships with academia and industry to accelerate R&D, manufacturing, and skill development. Andhra Pradesh aims to establish up to 5 GW of electrolyser capacity and produce 1.5 million tonnes annually by 2029. This declaration aligns with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and signals a bold push toward a sustainable, low-carbon future. By integrating policy reforms and green energy corridors, the state is positioning itself at the forefront of the clean energy transition.
