During his investment-focused visit to Singapore (July 26–31, 2025), Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met with representatives of Surbana Jurong and Eversendai Engineering, both of whom showed strong interest in key state development initiatives.
Surbana Jurong, a global urban infrastructure consultancy, has expressed intent to participate in Andhra Pradesh’s large-scale housing-for-all programme and urban infrastructure development, reinforcing the state’s emphasis on urban planning and infrastructure-led growth. Naidu highlighted AP’s ambition to develop 20 ports and 15 airports as part of its infrastructure vision
Eversendai Engineering proposed establishing a vast 200,000 square metre fabrication facility—potentially in Visakhapatnam or Krishnapatnam—alongside an integrated structural engineering training centre. The facility is expected to catalyze industrial capability development, create employment opportunities, and contribute significantly to AP’s industrial corridor development vision. Eversendai’s prior involvement in global landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and Statue of Unity underscores their technical credibility. Collaboration with premier institutions like IIT Tirupati and IIIT Sri City may support skills development and industry-academia convergence
These developments align with Andhra Pradesh’s strategic push for holistic economic transformation—anchored in industrial infrastructure, urban housing projects, and global collaboration—under its new Silk Road-style approach to infrastructure-led growth.
